Objects on the Move at NYU Abu Dhabi

I organized and led Objects on the Move, an interactive student event developed within the Heritage, Memory and Mobility research group at NYU Abu Dhabi. The event invited students to bring an object that had traveled with them and to share the memories, attachments, and personal histories connected to it.

Bringing together storytelling, material culture, and conversation, the event created a space for students to reflect on mobility, belonging, and lived experience through everyday objects. It was conceived as a collaborative format that encouraged exchange, personal narrative, and reflection on how objects carry memory across places and contexts.
