Álvaro Luna-Dubois is a Lecturer at the Institut d’études politiques de Paris and the École supérieure d'art du Nord-Pas-de-Calais. He received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of California Santa Barbara.
He has published on a variety of topics in contemporary French and American minority literatures with an emphasis on U.S. Latinx and Franco-Maghrebi cultures. His research centers on four lines of inquiry: 1-the relation of minority literatures with literary theory and genres (Bildungsroman, crime fiction, historical novel), 2-the representation of place and space in contemporary literature, 3-the application of the concept of Postmigration to the study of literature and visual culture, and 4-how literature and visual art from Latin America and the Maghreb respond to global migration movements.
