On June 30th, I had the chance to present the paper "‘We Drown Algerians here’: the evolving ‘theatre of memory’ of the Paris massacre of 1961 in French literature" within the panel Decolonization as Theater – Decentering and Disrupting Colonial Spaces and Narratives: The Theaters of Memory and Regret/Reconciliation" at the Council of European Studies conference at Lisbon (hosted at the Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa) . My paper focused on the play La Pomme et le Couteau [ The Apple and the Knife] (2011) by Aziz Chouaki (1951-2019).
